Performance characteristics on the laminated AlumaJet Image will last indefinitely indoors and 3-5 years outdoors when protected by a UV resistant overlaminate film
Durajet is a revolutionary imaging system that allows you to digitally create durable, full color images on anodized aluminum and subsequently seal the image inside the metal, making it virtually impervious to abrasion, chemicals, moisture, humidity and salt spray.
Applications include barcode printing durable variable data plates with full color, signage and Wayfinding in full color, high value metal signage that is durable and cleanable, plaque and company awards, ISO certification plaques and patent reproductions, labels and panels and Spot Color to add color to Metalphoto.
Product technology: DuraJet open-pore aluminum is engineered to absorb certain inkjet inks. After printing, DuraJet is sealed, protecting the image insdie the metal itself. Unlike other open-pored aluminum, DuraJet is extremely stable and will not seal unless plates are put through the sealing process. That means that DuraJet has a long shelf life and will print beautifully all the time.
DuraJet has three print modes namely High Resolution, Normal Print mode and High Speed print mode.
ID-Mark Sheets and Photopolymer resist coated sheets of aluminum and polyester. The resist cures when exposed to UV and rinses away with simple tap water in the unexposed areas, leaving behind spot color graphic images. It is a breakthrough in desktop imaging technology. It is photosensitive, water processed imaging material that allows users to create high-quality, durable, custom images in less than 5 minutes. All types of identification products can easily be created economically, from prototypes and one-of-a-kind projects to short run production requirements. Create your own products with just an ultraviolet exposure device and water. ID-Mark sheets come in a variety of sizes, thicknesses and colors. All ID-Mark materials come with a high performance, industrial grade pressure-sensitive adhesive backing for easy mounting and finishing and no processing cehmicals are ever required.
Produce a variety of identification and recognition products include signs, labes, awards, plaques, nameplates, decals, equipment tags, proto-types, panel fronts and badges. It offers exceptional resolution capability and one can create ultra-fine detail photos, diagrams and charts with fine lines.
Durablack is the first CO2 laser markable aluminum for long term asset identification in harsh operating environments that does not require a protective topcoat. It is engineered for on-demand marking in outdoor, marine, abrasive, industrial fluid and high temperature operating environments. Durablacl meets the performance requirements under MIL-STD-130 and MIL-DTL-15024F. In side by side testing Durablack outperformed both black anodized aluminum and laser-markable acrylic labels in several simulated operating environments. DuraBlack is composed of a multi-level coating upon an aluminum base layer. It's integrated abrasion resistant coating reduces the need to apply a secondary protective topcoat. Available in both 0.0005" and 0.020"tickness, DuraBlack can be attached to eith curved or flat surface with adhesive or rivtes. It is imaged with any C02 marking laser to produce durbale, high resolution UID 2D Data Matrix Barcodes, human readable asset tags or outdoor signage.
Durablacks combination of durability, ease of processing and flexible attachment offers the best balance of performance on any on-demand C02 laserable markable material.
Metalphoto has been used to produce the most durable aluminum labels, industrial nameplates, equipment panels, plaques and awards since 1958. It has evolved becoming a leading material for Department of Defense UID Labes, durable bar code lables, asset tags and variable information plates. MetalPhoto has virtually no set-up requirements.
Applications include: UID/Defense Bar Code Labels, machine panel fronts, nameplates, data plates, plaques and awards, interior and exterior signage, long term asset tags, writing diagrams and schematics, badges, memorabilia, labels, wayfinding signs and equipment lables.
Performance characteristics include extremely durable, resistant to chemicals, abrasion, high heat, UV and outdoor weathering.
Material: Photosensitive anodized aluminum sheet
Finishes:
Matte-non reflective recommended for linnear and 2D Matrix Bar code labels and applications requiring a non glare surface.
Satin - Semi Gloss, medium reflectance, grain direction light but apparent, widely specified for nameplate, signage and equipment panel applications
#4 - course brushed finish, grain direction very apparent, resembles #4 Stainless in apprearance
Gloss - highly refective, mirror like apprearance
EconAlum is anodized aluminum that is with open pores received. It may be marked or imaged sy screen printing PolyColor inks directly into the open pores. Like MetalPhoto, EconAlum plates are sealed after printing. Sealing the plates has the effect of trapping the ink within the anodic layer so that the image is sub surface in nature, making it virtually impervious to abrasion, chemicals, moisture, humidity and salt spray.
EconAlum is extremely stable as a result of the manufacturing process. The pores will not seal unless and until the plates are actually put through the sealing process. This means that EconAlum has a very long shelf life relative to competitive, self sealing materials and will process and perform with great consistency as a result.
PolyColor plates are specifically prepared anodized aluminum sheets that have been coated with a photosensitive resist coating. The resist may be selectively hardenend by exposing the plate through a film to ultraviolet light. Subsequent rinsing with cold running water allows one to remove resist in unexposed areas. PolyColor dyes then may be manually wiped or inserted into the pores of the aluminum that were revealed as a result of having rinsed away unexposed esist.
Following insertion of the dye , the remaining exposed resist is stripped away and then the plates may be sealed. Just as with Metalphoto, EconAlum, PolyColor image is sub-surface in nature making it virtually impervious to abrasion, chemicals, moisture, humidity and salt spray.
